A Prayer to Rise Up and Fight the Good Fight

Excerpt from my book Cracking the Happy Weight Code.

Alli was getting cleaned up and all of a sudden, a weird voice came into her ears, and this time it was the enemy. The enemy spoke and said, “Well, well, look at what we have here, Ms. Star Athlete they cheered, you are nothing but a hoax; you just finished that race on luck.” Alli jumped out of her skin and turned off the shower with suds intact on her skin. Alli grabbed her bath towel and wrapped it around her body and ran into her room.

Alli did not know what to think or say and just got on a nightshirt because she was so afraid, he would come back. Alli slowly got on her bed and crossed her arms together and wept and cried because she felt like her success wasn’t real. Alli let herself get deceived by the evil one.

If I could speak on behalf of Alli, I would tell her, “You are worthy to achieve anything you put your mind to.”  Sadly, Alli let the enemy run all over her that day without standing up for herself.

A prayer I would give Alli to rise up and fight the good fight that needed fighting is this:

Jesus, you are the only one that knows what to do when the enemy strikes again to confuse, doubt, and twist my mind. I need your working power, Lord, to help me stand firm and not surrender to Satan.

Lord, help me to run to Your word when times like these strikes. According to 2 Corinthians 10:4 it said, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” which can demolish strongholds and lies.

These supernatural weapons originate from you. By your name and blood, Jesus, I am asking you to confuse the enemy and cancel his attacks to shut me down and my influence down. Help me to not become discouraged or to give in when heavy times of testing rise.

When I am exhausted and weak, Lord, you are strong, and you are my only source of help. I cannot fight without You. Teach me how to pray and trust you to pull down strongholds that keep me and others helpless. Guard me against the devil’s tactics.

I am declaring the devil and his demon’s liars today, Lord. Through the power of your precious name and blood, I agree with your Word, and the truth that you are in me and greater is He that is within me.

You, your Word, and prayer, Lord, are my secret weapons. Strengthen my faith, Lord. Forgive my sins, so that I may be clean in your righteousness. Make me brave, so I can stand and fight the spiritual battles in my life and in our world. Give me your wisdom and discernment so I will be on guard (Jordan, “A Spiritual Warfare Prayer,” 2015). Together, Lord, we’ll win, because, in truth, you already have.

In Jesus’s mighty name before which every knee shall bow,
