Phoenix Rising

Good day followers! I hope everyone is well today and enjoying their weekend. Today I am sharing with you a poem about a person that came into my life and showed me how to open up my eyes to deceit and to stay away from it. I hope you enjoy and if this touches some area of your life you might have struggled in let me know. Take care.

Finally, I say goodbye
To all the hurt that kept me trapped,
Though ten sharpened knives
Had pierced my back.

Restless nights, anxiety, stress-
I am done, without a doubt!
I am done with all your lies,
I know what your agenda is portraying.

You’re all about the mind games,
Manipulation, cheating, lies.
Your words and actions do not fool me,
You’re narcissistic and unkind.

You tried to break me with deceit.
But you never did succeed.
No kid wanders through the carnival.
Envious of dropped ice-cream.

Now the karmic debt’s been paid.
From all those times you knocked me down,
I jumped back to my feet again,
So, I wear the winners’ crown!

And now I’m moving forward,
I’m free of your blame games.
I believe in me; I’m number one,
A phoenix rising from the flames.
